From time to time, something new comes along that changes the face of technology as we know it. This weekend I had a chance at using an iPad brought along by a friend of mine from the US.
And I have to admit that I am hooked on this beautiful device. Book reading, browsing, movies, applications, this baby handles everything that is thrown at it.
My impressions were very good…so I trawled a bit on the ‘net to see what was the general consensus. And I amazed to see so much ‘hate’ reviews…with reviewers (much of whom admitted to not even holding the device, let alone use it!) giving it a very negative ‘slate’.
So, a quick run-around to the apple site to see the release keynote by Steve Jobs, and I was struck by a picture I saw. I could see myself in that kid’s emotional display.
If that isn’t emotional, I don’t know what is. I’m not saying I’m going to cry over this (although it will be a close call!), but for those of us who have been waiting for something like this…I can’t wait!
